405area has new update 1 day ago TLO Restaurant Review: Patty Wagon Burgers
It had been many years since I last visited Patty Wagon – a small and fabled burger spot housed in an old Whataburger on N. May. During that last trip, I was writing a review for the long-lost Red Dirt Report and was impressed with what I had, so while in the N. May neighborhood last week, my girlfriend and I stopped by for a revisited review on a different publication's dime. 405area has new update 2 days ago Water Lantern Festival
Take part in the Water Lantern Festival and watch thousands of lanterns illuminate the night sky.  This festival is a chance for people to heal, reflect, celebrate the present and remember the past through an inspiring ceremony. This family-friendly event lets participants design a lantern that can include an inspirational message, a letter to a loved one, or whatever you desire and send it off into the water. This is an experience that will not be forgotten.   The 2024 Annual Water Lantern Festival is set to take place on April 27 at Hafer Park in Edmond, located at 1034 S. Bryant Ave. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., with food trucks and music happening until 9:30 p.m. Lantern designing begins at 8:30 p.m. with the launching of the lanterns set to take place from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. The festival has committed to being as sustainable as possible, in doing so, they pledge to clean up each lantern and leave the space better than they found it. The lanterns are made of a rice paper cover and a wooden lantern base. LED candles are used when possible and reused to keep up with the sustainability commitment.   The festival offers special merchandise for sale for those who are interested. Items include T-shirts, sweatshirts, beanies, card decks and other items. Admission pricing to the festival is $55.99. The purchase of one adult ticket includes wristband entry to the festival and access to food trucks, a floating lantern kit, an LED candle, a drawstring bag and more. Youth and other ticket options are also available for purchase. The festival also offers special merchandise including t-shirts, sweatshirts, beanies, card decks and other items.
